Under some circumstances, when saving models, LG 4.5 creates model definition (.lgf) files that can not be subsequently reloaded by LG by the 'file open' command (a syntax error mentioning "options" would be issued). The definition files in question may be manually corrected by removing the option 'betaopts=' with a text editor (e.g., Notepad). (12-12-2008) When saving a syntax model with the option "with Parameters and Variable Definitions", the resulting .lgs will fail to estimate when reopened. No indication of an error is given. (04-14-2009) LG occasionally produced incorrect estimates when dealing with scale factors and restrictions. (05-08-2009) When both the delim and quote data file options were used together: saved definition and saved syntax models would fail to re-open correctly.
